What do you do now?

I have been asked, “so what do you do with your time now that you’re not marching?” Well, I really haven’t found my “swagger” yet when it comes to relaxing, but here’s a quick run down on my weekend activities:

Friday night –

  • bed WAY early after reading a book

Saturday –

  • farmers market (it was freezing)

  • finished the book (first book read in about 2 years that wasn’t a children’s book)

  • fabric warehouse (needed a new project)

  • book warehouse (really good sales)

  • bought a used Burley Bike trailer

  • went to REI

  • Dinner

  • Watched a Movie – Stranger than Fiction – pretty cute

Sunday –
  • Slept in late (little bit of a cold – thanks Muiread)

  • Yummy breakfast (thanks Brandon)

  • Scrap booked!!

  • Yummy Dinner (thanks again Brandon)

  • Watched a Movie – Talk to Me – you should all watch it

Really when you write it all out, it seems like a lot. Of course there was playing with Muiread all mixed in there too, but that should be a given. Boring I know, but you asked.

flowers.jpgSo - you think you need a baby update do ya? Well, as you can see by the picture, it's spring in Minnesota (finally) and she is as cute as always. (and I planted flowers, who knew).

Muiread spends most of her days in a state of perpetual motion. There is no down time and she seems to always need to be doing something. (I’m note sure where she gets this from). She hasn’t figured out running YET, but I’m sure it’s just mere moments away. Due to the constant motion, and hummingbird metabolism, she is still a peanut weighing in at 19lbs, 2 oz.

Her vocabulary is expanding with her favorite words being: Dada, diaper, kitty cat, dog, thank you, uh oh, this, shoes, fish. (of course sometimes they all sound like dada with different inflections and she’s still on a mama strike). If she should ever call you dada, don’t be offended. All adults are dada.

Muiread’s receptive language is what amazes us the most. She takes direction fairly well and we know she pretty much understands everything we say. (clean that language up kids). She also enjoys cleaning up her toys possibly more than making a mess.

So there you have it, an update. Perhaps I’ll try to do a little better at this. However I do have a friend that hasn’t updated his blog since August so I don’t feel so bad.
