The name is Irish, and it's pronounced MER-aid.  She was obviously quite anxious to get out of Jenniffer's belly, as she not only arrived 2 weeks early, but provided Jenniffer with a relatively rapid labor.  I'll put it this way, at 2am Jenniffer woke me up, we got to the hospital around 4am, and she was here by 6am.  Most importantly, the two ladies in my life are healthy and happy.  We can't wait to introduce her to everyone. . .
