For those of you who have been pregnant, it's okay to hate me when I write the next part. So I had yet another appointment yesterday and all is well. The specs: BP low as always, weight down two pounds which puts me back in the negatives overall, 2-3 cm dialated and 60% effaced. I know some of you don't need the #'s details, but there are enough of you who ask me that it's just easier to put it up.
As for questions about the painting in Bootsy's room: Yes it is "On Iowa." The top staff is my part, or well a bastardized version combining the three different versions I played because that's what I ended up playing last year. The bottom staff is Brandon's part straight. So we get a little treble and a little bass clef action going on. In order to do the music, we taped the horizontal lines (thank you Brandon) and painted those. Then the crazy math person in me measured the room and divided it up equally so each measure was the same length and taped off the measure lines. Next, I did have a stencil for the music note head. I went around the room just drawing the circles on with a pencil in the right spot so I wouldn't have to think when painting them. Everything else (filling the holes, note lines, accents, sharps, flats, dynamics, and other markings are all free hand.
The mural itself was free hand as well. When we went to the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame a few years back, we saw a stamp set that had those pictures. We bought it and I just used the image from the set to see what the instruments looked like and drew them up there. Again, overall I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

So we did get a new camera and tonight I had some fun trying to take a picture with the timer. We ended up getting an Elph since so many people seem to think they're great. We got the Elph SD750. So far so good.
Obviously this is the current "belly shot." There won't be too many more of these, but this one does give you a little idea of what color the room is. There will be more pictures of the room very very soon...like this weekend when I have a little time (and natural light) to take some in.
For now though I will finally show off the mural I finished this weekend. You can't really get a sense of the size from this picture, or the detail, but you can see the border at the top a little. The border runs on all four walls, and again, there will be more pictures later.

Weekly appointments are fun right? Well at least it is kind of the home stretch. I really don’t mind, I mean, I’ve had a RIDICULOUSLY easy pregnancy. Let’s be for real, who thought I would still be teaching color guard at week 36? Anyway, I had my first of “4-weeks in a row appointments” yesterday and although they took me an hour late, the appointment went well. For those of you who have been concerned about my weight, I broke even this week. I officially weigh what I started this whole adventure weighing. I’m okay with that.
Other things you might like to know: baby is head down and at a -2 (some of you will know what that means) and everything is progressing well. If you really want more specifics…..just ask.
Pictures will be coming…we’re currently in the market for a new digital camera. Suggestions are welcome.
