Dork Fest 2006
Well Dork Fest 2006 has come and gone. Wait, you don't know what Dork Fest is, well I'll be glad to tell you.
Basically, this weekend marked one of the last weekends that Brandon and I have very little going on. (besides the weekend before Christmas, but that doesn’t count). So we decided to try to fit a lot of stuff in.
Friday – We went to the “dollar theater” (which costs $2) and saw Pirates 2 finally. This theater is in our neighborHOOD and it was definitely interesting. It’s been a while since either of us has been in a theater that shallow. I felt like I was in Junior High again at Village Square or Cross Keys. (most of you won’t get that).
Saturday – I had guard practice from 10-5pm, but we still managed to go out for some culture. We went to Brave New Workshop and saw their Christmas show titled: “Christmas, the Other White Holiday.” It was Hilarious. Brave New Workshop is basically sketch comedy. I don’t know if either of us have even laughed out loud so much.
Sunday – Dork Fest 2006 was finally in full force. We checked-out/rented the Lord of the Rings Trilogy (we had never seen any of them). It was a “not getting out of the pjs” kind of day. We treated it like new years and ate a ton of bad food/appetizers all day. It was all delicious though, but we are trying to detox a little this week.
Hope you all had a good weekend too!
