Keep Hope Alive
Wow, two weeks can go by pretty fast. Of course we're still here and some of you know that summers are just very busy. I've still been busy with Govies, more camping, more parades, more shows, but I'm not going to focus on that this time. (although the invitation to our show on Aug.19th still stands)
Brandon and I have been very busy getting our lives back in order. We have finally purchased me a new car. I don't have it yet, but will next week. We ordered a 2006 Honda Civic, Black. It was kind of an ordeal to get one and we went through a dealer in Iowa City, because they were willing to find us a car before September. The Civic is a pretty popular car and it is just difficult for dealers to find them. They don't even always have them on lot for you to test drive. However, IC found one and it's actually there right now, but we can't make it down there until August 7th. Our plan right now is to get to IC on August 6th and leave the 8th. Hopefully we'll see some of you around.
Our other big news is that we have officially started our house hunt. We have a realtor and we've driven by some houses (to rule them out) and on Thursday we'll go in a few to see what there is to see. The housing market in the Twin Cities is ridiculous, but we're going into this knowing this is not the "forever home." We want to get into a house again pretty badly though. We miss all of the animals terribly and want to stop being a burden on our friends and family.
Brandon is working nights again so finding time to get everything done has been a little stressful but hopefully by September things will calm down.
Only 33 days until the first tailgate!!
**Ammendment - I did fail to mention that Brandon marched in three parades over the past few weeks. He marched a Euphonium and seemed to really enjoy it. It was nice to see him in a Govie uniform as well. I'm sure he'll tell you more about it later.

Woohoo... let the countdown begin.
My co-worker is getting a Honda Element, they had to get it in from another dealer right now... ah end of the car buying year fun. Hope you got a good deal!
I'll be around during your car gathering expedition... call me. I could really stand some sweet potato fries from Donnelly's... however its spelled.
